New Features:

This build has a major bug that will frequently cause random crashes, I believe it is caused by changes made to the Random Position Generator (used when mobs are randomly wandering around). I'll release Beta 06 later which will fix this.

This is a public beta build of Lycanites Mobs for Minecraft 1.9, some features are still missing but things are now considered stable!

Arctic Mobs are setup but not added yet due to 2 strange crashes that I need to investigate later.

Major Fixes:

Fixed a random crash caused by Scorchfire, this fix has been applied so that all other fire blocks can not cause the same issue too.

Model lighting (bad normals) is fixed! Models should now by lit correctly by the environment like 1.7.10.

Implemented render layers, so far the Yale uses these for colored wool, but these will later be expanded to bring back armor and saddle textures and possibly new colorable collars!

Fixed a bug where mob defence was being applied before damage multipliers which made mobs such as Geonach much tougher than intended and made weaknesses such as pickaxes on Geonach wrongly redundant.


Fear no longer turns player, it just moves them.

Removed fear from Shadowfire.

Khalks now have solid collision boxes.

Minor Fixes:

Fixed a bug where Yales were receiving the wrong color from dyes.

All ranged mobs now have a chase timer and will stop chasing if they can't see there target after a few seconds.

Mobs that pickup entities such as Rocs or Raiko should now reset their current pathing so that they stay in the air with their victim!
